A popular Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer, Mandojo, has tragically lost his life on Sunday, August 11, 2024, after being mistakenly identified as a thief, just days before his birthday.
The renowned musician, known for his hit songs “Nikupe” and “Dingi,” was brutally beaten to death in an incident that has left his fans and followers in shock and mourning.
The news of Mandojo’s death was confirmed by his fellow artist, Soggy Doggy, who took to social media to express his deep sorrow. Soggy Doggy wrote, “My heart is in great pain; I will miss you very much, my brother and friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo. Surely, human life is very short on this earth. Sorry to brothers, relatives, and friends, and I’m very sorry my brother @domokayatz. God’s work has no mistakes.”
Tributes have also poured in from Domo Kaya, a close friend and colleague of Mandojo. In a heartfelt post, Kaya lamented the timing of the tragedy, saying, “Daaaah MY SON, I don’t believe the 22nd of this month is supposed to be your birthday. Aisee, why! This is so sad. Rest in peace, may God give you eternal light, friend, brother.”
Mandojo’s death comes just days before what would have been his birthday on August 22, adding to the profound sense of loss felt by those who knew and loved him.
