Popular musician, Seun Kuti, has stirred controversy by claiming that all musicians worldwide can be associated with the term "Olosho," a Nigerian slang word for prostitute.
This assertion was made in a video posted on Tiktok by a parody page impersonating the musician after a [b]fan accused him of being an "Olosho" due to his choice of painting his nails.
Seun Kuti responded with these words:
“You know, someone called me an 'Olosho.' Haa, okay, that person must have joined this live session late; you haven't been here before.
I've already informed everyone that in this world, out of all the 14 million musicians, or is it 15 million, or maybe 100 million musicians in this world, only about four are not 'Olosho,' out of a hundred million.
As a musician, your primary job is to create music, and your secondary job is prostitution. I'm telling you, it's the truth about me and all your favorite musicians.”
