Afrobeats sensation Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has recently shared his admiration for fellow artist Wizkid and their latest collaboration. In a heartfelt revelation, Asake revealed that Wizkid, the Grammy-winning star, has been a major influence on his music career.
This announcement coincides with the release of Asake’s much-anticipated third studio album, *Lungu Boy*.
The album features a standout track titled “MMS,” which includes a collaboration with Wizkid. Asake expressed his excitement about working with the “Ojuelegba” hitmaker, emphasizing that Wizkid has been a long-time source of inspiration for him.
Asake shared, “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young striving artiste in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for that right song, so when the opportunity came, it was a no-brainer.”
He continued, “’MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and it explains my music journey.”
