During a media interview on Wednesday, the former housemate shared insights into his decision to join the BBNaija show. He revealed that his primary motivation for participating was to leverage the Big Brother platform to promote his nightlife business. Ben emphasized that he is not involved in a 9-to-5 job, contrary to some claims, and that his primary residence is in the United Kingdom.

“First and foremost, I’m not doing a 9 to 5 job. Tjay reached out to me and said let us pair together. So if I was doing a 9 to 5 or under a student’s visa, I would not have come,” Ben explained. He clarified that as a permanent resident in the UK, his work in nightlife is primarily focused on the weekends. He added, “But I’m a permanent resident in the UK, so nightlife is on the weekend. I came for Big Brother to push my nightlife 100%. To sell myself. I tell people that I organise parties, and people would come to my parties.”

Ben also mentioned that he had to ensure all his bills were settled before making the move to participate in the show. He noted that the tagline “number, Action Ben, no party” is often used in reference to his persona, and he highlighted the challenge of managing his financial responsibilities before his departure. “People now even use the tagline number, Action Ben, no party. But the most difficult part for me was I had to pay all my bills before coming,” he stated.
