Shaun, who was also a contestant in the same season, made these comments during a post-show interview, where he expressed his surprise at how the couple managed to survive multiple evictions despite what he perceived as a lack of excitement, drama, or standout moments during their stay in the competition.
In response to these remarks, Kassia took the opportunity to defend herself and her husband during a post-eviction interview with Pulse Nigeria, where she directly addressed Shaun’s criticism. Not holding back, she fired back at Shaun’s critique, questioning his own contributions to the show and highlighting that everyone in the house brought something unique to the table, including DoubleKay. She urged Shaun to reflect on what he offered to the competition during his stay rather than discrediting others.
When asked by the interviewer about how she felt concerning Shaun’s critique and the opinions of some fans who shared the belief that DoubleKay didn’t deserve the attention they received due to their perceived lack of drama or conflict, Kassia confidently dismissed the criticism. She replied, “What did he [Shaun] bring to the house? He should ask himself that question before pointing fingers at others. We were ourselves, and that’s what matters.”
