Verydarkman, who is known for being vocal about societal issues, released the audio after warning Bobrisky to settle a debt of N4 million that he reportedly owed to an unnamed individual. The activist had threatened to expose more incriminating information if Bobrisky failed to repay the debt.

True to his word, Verydarkman released the audio, which implicated multiple individuals, including members of the EFCC, in a bribery scandal. The leaked recording has since caused a stir online, with netizens reacting to the allegations.

In response, Bobrisky took to his Instagram page to issue a statement denying the accusations. He asserted that the audio was completely fabricated and urged the public to disregard it, emphasizing that no bribe was ever paid to the EFCC.

He wrote:

“My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet that claims I paid the EFCC N15 million and that I was never in prison. This is a very big lie. I didn’t pay any EFCC money. I served my term in full and came out. Please discard any false information.”
