Famous Nigerian Afrobeat singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has launched the ‘Burna Boy Football Academy’ in Lagos. This new initiative is designed to contribute to the development of African football through a structured training program aimed at nurturing young talent.
The academy is reported to operate three days a week, offering two-hour training sessions on each of these days. This schedule is intended to provide consistent and focused training to aspiring footballers.

In the footage, young footballers are seen engaging in training sessions on the field under the guidance of a coach. Another video shows the players enjoying Burna Boy’s music and celebrating after a successful training session, highlighting the academy's vibrant and supportive environment.
According to its official website, the academy caters to young football enthusiasts in two age groups: junior boys aged 4-15 and senior boys aged 16-21. This division allows the academy to provide age-appropriate training and development opportunities to a wide range of young players.
Training locations for the academy are available in Ikoyi, Surulere, Port Harcourt, and Abuja, expanding its reach and accessibility to aspiring footballers across different regions.
