Controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze, responds to the Appeal Court's decision upholding the N5M fine imposed on him for his involvement in an adultery case with Benedicta Elechi, who was married to Paul Odekina at the time.
Previously, a High Court in Rivers State's Port Harcourt had ordered Daddy Freeze to pay N5M as damages for committing adultery with Benedicta Elechi, leading to the dissolution of her marriage due to infidelity.
Daddy Freeze, not satisfied with the High Court’s judgement, approached the Appeal Court for redress but the case was dismissed and the N5M fine upheld.
Addressing the allegations of cheating with a married woman, the OAP stated on his live show that the allegations were not true.
He argued that he did not commit adultery crime with another man’s wife while lambasting those suggesting he committed the act based on the court’s ruling.
“I will pay the 5 million naira adultery fine; my watches alone cost over 100 million naira, but I am innocent, and I will not lose; I am innocent; this happened many years ago. I was going through serious torment, so was the lady, and we both jam many years later in church; this happened over 12 years ago,” he stated partly.
