Renowned Nollywood actress, Iya Gbonkan, expressed her heartfelt disappointment and shared her struggle of not owning a car despite her lengthy acting career spanning several decades. In a recently surfaced video on social media, the 64-year-old actress appealed to her beloved fans for assistance.
Iya Gbonkan's emotional plea conveyed her frustration at having to rely on buses for transportation, even at her age, while highlighting the stark contrast between her professional success and her personal circumstances. She firmly stated that instead of waiting until after her passing to celebrate her achievements, she hoped her fans would honor and support her during her lifetime.
In her own words, Iya Gbonkan expressed her poignant plea:
“I have been dedicating myself to the art of acting for several decades, and yet, I find myself without a car. Every day, I have to rely on public buses for my transportation needs. If, by unfortunate circumstances, I were to pass away now, you would then celebrate me with great fanfare. I implore you, celebrate and support me while I am still alive. I kindly request a car from my cherished fans.”
