The media figure articulated her viewpoint in a recent episode of her talk show, "Toke Moments," where she offered guidance to women on the subject of pressuring their partners.

Toke Makinwa conveyed, "As a woman, you're living in Mushin, and you're putting pressure on a guy to buy you a house in Banana Island. I'm sorry. Make it make sense. Can you buy it? Can you even move yourself out of where you are, no matter how modest it is?"

She continued, "If he meets you maybe halfway, and you're telling him, 'Bro, I've worked diligently to reach this halfway point, but I have dreams beyond this place where we met. I'm not complacent, and my journey from this point to that point reflects my relentless effort. Will you come with me, or will you stay behind?'"

Furthermore, Toke Makinwa expressed her concern that such extravagant demands from women contribute to the negative stereotypes and derogatory comments often made about all women. She emphasized the importance of being realistic and self-sufficient when it comes to one's desires and expectations in a relationship. Her words serve as a reminder to maintain a fair and balanced perspective when it comes to the dynamics of love and partnership.

“As a woman, you’re living in Mushin, and you’re putting pressure on a guy to buy you a house in Banana Island. I’m sorry. Make it make sense. Can you buy it? Can you even move yourself out of where you are small?

“If he meets you maybe like halfway and you are saying to him that ‘Bros, I worked hard to get halfway but I’ve a dream. My dream is not to be here where you met. And I’m not lazy. For me to leave this point to get to that point, you can see the triat of hard work. Are you going to join me to move there or are you going to be there?’ Period.”

She also added that it is because of women who make outrageous demands that men are always throwing insults at all women.
