As a staunch supporter of the Tinubu administration, Eniola Badmus emphasized that the reduction in imports and the increase in exports reflect a positive shift in Nigeria’s economy. She shared specific figures for the year-to-date 2024, stating that imports amounted to N24.44 trillion, while exports reached N38.59 trillion, resulting in an unprecedented trade surplus of over N14 trillion in just eight months. She highlighted that this trade surplus is a first for Nigeria and represents a significant move from consumption towards production.
