During the interview, Flavour spoke about his humble beginnings, starting out by singing for a small crowd in the Eastern region of Nigeria. He recalled how he would captivate his audience with his unique sounds, performing in various local settings.

Recognizing the need to reach a wider audience and believing in his potential, he decided to take a bold step. One night, without much preparation, he hopped on a bus bound for Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, where he knew greater opportunities awaited him.

The next day, he wasted no time and recorded his first song. Determined to make a mark, he reached out to Nigerian rapper, Mr Raw, expressing his desire for a collaboration. Flavour shared how he pleaded with Mr Raw, asking him to feature on his new track. To his delight, the rapper agreed, and after laying down his verse, Flavour quickly took the CD and traveled back to Enugu.

Upon returning to Enugu, Flavour noticed that people were immediately drawn to the song. Sensing a breakthrough, he decided to capitalize on the momentum by printing several copies of the CDs and selling them to everyone he could find. His efforts paid off as the song gained widespread popularity, marking the beginning of his rise in the Nigerian music scene.

Flavour also credited Mr Raw for playing a significant role in his early career, acknowledging that he learned a lot about becoming an artist from him. Their collaboration not only boosted his confidence but also provided him with valuable insights that would later help him navigate the complexities of the music industry.
