Gospel singer Testimony Jaga has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the controversial artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, demanding an apology for the assault on a preacher.
Gistreel previously reported on the incident which occurred outside Portable’s bar. In the live stream on Instagram, Portable accused the preacher of disrupting his business by allegedly driving customers away.
Enraged by the preacher's presence, Portable resorted to physical violence, asserting that the clergyman posed a threat to his establishment.
In response, Testimony Jaga publicly condemned the act in a post on his Instagram page on Friday.
Jaga’s message read:
“@portablebaeby I am giving you three days to apologize to that man.”
He further criticized Portable’s actions, suggesting that if the pastor had indeed done something wrong, the appropriate course of action would have been to involve law enforcement rather than resorting to violence. Jaga said:
“If Portable felt the pastor was doing something wrong, why not call the police or law enforcement to handle the situation? There was no need to slap him,”
“That man is someone’s father and husband. All I ask is for Portable to apologize—to the pastor and his family. If he doesn’t, he might find himself setting an example for why such behavior won’t be tolerated.”
