However, their marriage only lasted for five years, leading to their eventual divorce in 2013.

During the interview, when asked about her regrets, Ini Edo acknowledged that getting married at that time was not the right decision for her. She openly admitted, "I regretted my decision to get married because it wasn't the right move to make." Ini Edo also discussed her choice to pursue surrogacy for motherhood. She revealed that she had experienced several miscarriages and felt tired of trying. Since she did not have a husband, she made the decision to have a child for herself through surrogacy. She wanted the child to be biologically hers, and fortunately, her eggs were viable, allowing her to proceed with the surrogacy process.
