[Nollywood actress] Ini Edo has revealed the reason behind her initial dislike from her close friend, [Uche Jombo], in a recent interview. During a conversation with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Ini Edo discussed the development of her friendship with Uche Jombo and shed light on the factors that led to their close bond.
Sharing details about their first encounter, Ini Edo disclosed that Uche Jombo initially harbored animosity towards her due to her perceived rudeness and disrespect. According to Ini, their paths crossed on a [movie set], where Uche Jombo became upset when Ini failed to greet anyone upon her arrival.
Ini Edo stated, "Uche [Jombo] and I started off as not friends. She thought I was so rude, that I was doing too much. She was like, 'What is she feeling like?' Like, I kept them on set for days. The first time we ever worked together, apparently she had been hearing my name, 'Oh, that new girl,' 'oh, she's all over the place, all the producers are using her now so she's like the it girl,' you know, that already made her feel like 'what is she feeling like, mschewww.'"
Furthermore, Ini Edo mentioned that she arrived late on set, prolonging the wait for others. This incident further fueled Uche Jombo's resentment towards her. As Ini explains, "I walked into the set and I did not say hello to her. So she was really upset with me. She hated me, apparently."
However, Ini Edo believes that their initial animosity eventually subsided as they began to interact and get to know each other. She emphasized her amiable nature and expressed her belief that it is difficult to dislike her once one gets to know her. Ini recounted their breakthrough moment, saying, "I think eventually we got talking and I think we shared a drink. She didn't waste time telling me, 'You, you no dey greet person abi? You no know say I no be your mate!'"
