South Korean actress Han So Hee's mother has been arrested for operating an illegal gambling den. This arrest occurred on the 2nd of September, 2024, as reported by South Korean media outlet TV Chosun.
The star’s mother, identified as Ms. Shin, a 50-year-old woman, has had a strained relationship with her daughter due to her involvement in several fraud cases in the past. This latest legal issue adds to her troubled background. Han So Hee's mother was taken into custody on Monday, marking her second arrest related to her alleged operation of 12 illegal gambling establishments across South Korean cities, including Ulsan and Wonju, since 2021.
According to reports, Ms. Shin utilized “proxy owners” to manage these gambling venues, where patrons participated in games such as baccarat through a gambling website she controlled.
In addition to her recent arrest, there have been prior incidents involving fraudulent activities where she allegedly used her daughter's name to secure loans.
