The Lagos State police command has labeled the lyrics of Ayo Maff's song as “indecent.”

In the song, Ayo Maff boasts about consuming Canadian Loud, a potent imported cannabis strain, on the first day of the week and mentions telling his dealer that he had run out of the drug by Saturday.

SP Hundeyin expressed his concerns about the song's lyrics following the widespread sharing of a clip from the song on social media platform X.

SP Hundeyin highlighted that the promotion of drug use in music can contribute to criminal behavior, emphasizing that if drug abuse had not become prevalent, many young people currently incarcerated might not be there. He pointed out that drugs often lead to negative consequences, including criminal activity.

The PPRO wrote in his response, “He does what on Mondays and Saturdays? Help me listen.”

He continued, “Like Asa said, there is fire on the mountain and nobody seems to be on the run…”

SP Hundeyin added, “Fact: Half of the young ones in prison today wouldn’t be there if they didn’t do drugs. Drugs are a precursor to everything bad.”

“Eni a wi fun…”
