Popular BBNaija star, Leo Dasilva, has brought to light an alarming incident involving the EFCC, as he alleges that operatives of the agency raided his grandmother's estate without a warrant or prior intelligence. This unsettling revelation comes in the wake of a similar incident involving Afropop singer Skales, who recently called out the agency for storming into his own residence, causing distress to his family, including his young child and wife.
Leo Da Silva disclosed that the EFCC conducted the raid on his grandmother's estate at the early hour of 5 am. What is particularly concerning is that this raid was seemingly carried out without a valid warrant, and Leo only became aware of the situation when he saw it being discussed in the estate's WhatsApp group, leaving residents bewildered and upset.
Expressing his dismay, Leo mentioned that people are beginning to voice their discontent regarding the agency's actions, but it appears that the authorities have yet to respond or address the situation, despite the rising concerns. He went on to suggest that unless these grievances are addressed promptly, they may escalate to the point of public protests, underscoring the gravity of the matter.
Leo's social media post conveyed his frustration as he wrote:
"EFCC raided my grandma’s estate in Lekki this morning by 5 am. No intelligence, no warrant, just a random raid, unfortunately. I woke up to it being discussed on their estate platform. Citizens are speaking now, and no one is listening till this becomes protests. This is ridiculous."
