Renowned Nollywood actress, Mary Remmy Njoku, shares valuable advice with women in response to the recent concerning reports about the disappearance of two young women, Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh, with Afiba being Ghanaian. The two friends went missing after traveling from Port Harcourt, Rivers State to Abia State on April 27 to visit a friend they connected with on Facebook. Tragically, subsequent reports revealed that their bodies were discovered later on.

Expressing her thoughts on the matter, Mary Njoku urges women to take proactive measures to avoid falling victim to unfortunate circumstances. She warns against the prevailing societal tendency to blame victims for their own misfortune, even in the event of their demise. Highlighting the pervasive victim-blaming culture, she emphasizes the urgent need for societal change and calls for a collective shift in mindset.

In her message, she writes: “Dear Ladies, Whatever you do, don’t ever be a victim in Nigeria. Cos, Your own don finish! Even if you die, ‘na your fault’. SAD We need to start doing better as a people! We need to reset our minds.”
