The Muslim community expressed their discontent with Nancy's portrayal, accusing her of disrespecting their religion and its values. They highlighted the significance of the niqab and voiced their frustration about its use for purposes they consider contrary to its intended respect and sanctity.

In her response to the backlash, Nancy posted new photos on Instagram with captions that underscored her commitment to peace and personal goals. She made it clear that she avoids engaging in drama and gossip, preferring to focus on her own path and well-being.

Nancy emphasized her stance on maintaining her peace, stating that she does not let others' opinions affect her. She shared her perspective on handling criticism and negativity, suggesting that such reactions often stem from others' insecurities rather than genuine grievances.

In her own words;

“Really out the way. In my own world. No drama, no gossip. Just goals and money. Peace is where I’m at.

“I don’t bother nobody & I’m not bothered by nobody. That’s my peace. To protect my peace, I stopped taking other people’s projected opinions personally.

“Reminder: Your light often highlights other people’s insecurities and shortcomings, which they will then project back to you as a flaw. It’s a coping mechanism. Attacking you makes them feel safer.
