The renowned preacher, who has been a prominent voice in Christian circles for decades, addressed the matter during a viral video where he stated that ‘tithing isn’t compulsory, and those who do not pay tithes still have a chance to make heaven.’

In a new message that has resonated deeply with many, Pastor Adeboye called for unity and mutual understanding among believers concerning this divisive issue. He recognized that tithing is a topic that often sparks differing opinions, even among fellow pastors, and he expressed his hope that Christians would not allow these differences to disrupt their faith or community.

During his message, Pastor Adeboye offered a solution to the disagreement, suggesting a balanced approach that encourages believers to follow their hearts on the matter. He proposed that if one feels inclined to give a tithe, they should find a church nearby that welcomes tithes and offer it there. This, he believes, would allow Christians to follow their conscience while avoiding any conflict with their pastor or church leaders.

Pastor Adeboye’s heartfelt plea underscores his desire to shift the focus of Christian communities away from divisive theological debates and instead promote a spirit of generosity, understanding, and peace among believers. He highlighted the importance of maintaining unity within the Christian community, despite differing perspectives.

In his own words, he stated, “I am begging all Christians all over the world, let this argument about tithe come to an end. Please, I know some of you know much more than I do, and I know that pastor of yours knows much more than I do.”

He continued, “Let’s do it this way: if your pastor says he doesn’t want tithes, don’t leave his church. If all he wants is an offering, give him an offering. But if your heart tells you to give God at least 10%, find a church nearby where they collect tithes and give it to that pastor. This way, you don’t quarrel with God and your pastor, and your conscience will be clear.”

His message has been widely shared and discussed within Christian circles, sparking conversations on how to approach such topics with sensitivity and respect for differing views. Pastor Adeboye’s call to end the tithing debates has prompted many to reconsider their stance on the issue and seek ways to foster harmony within their faith communities.
