[p]During his court appearance on Monday, Portable pleaded not guilty to all the charges brought against him. The charges were read out in court and stated that Portable, along with others who are still at large, had caused physical injury to Inspector Hammed Moshood by using his elbow to hit him on the nose, which resulted in the officer's nose bleeding. The charges further stated that Portable had resisted arrest by Inspector Hammed Moshood, ASP Gregory Iyoha, and ASP Kunle Badmus after being served a police invitation letter on the 20th of January, 2023, for the offenses he had committed. This action was in violation of Section 197 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State, Nigeria, 2006, and Section 4(1) of the Violence Against Persons & Prohibition Laws of Ogun State, Nigeria, 2017.
