Reports circulating on social media indicate that Nollywood is in mourning following the reported passing of esteemed scriptwriter and director, Reginald Ebere.
The news of his demise was reportedly shared by veteran actor Segun Arinze on the Nollywood Giants WhatsApp platform, where he expressed sorrow over the loss of the talented screenwriter.
Additionally, Leadership News reported that Perekeme Odon, the National Secretary of Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), confirmed the unfortunate news, expressing deep sadness at the loss of their colleague.
Mr. Odon was quoted as saying, “We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear brother and colleague, Mr. Reginald Ebere.”
Reginald Ebere had reportedly been battling illness for some time, prompting calls from fellow industry veterans for donations towards his medical expenses.
