Abia North Senator, Orji Kalu, has announced that he has quit flying his private jet until the federal government addresses salary disparities affecting workers across the country. This statement was made public in a brief video he shared on social media platforms Instagram and Facebook on Saturday.
Although the context is unclear, he appeared to be responding to a question from unknown individuals.
“Honestly, I have stopped using my private jet since 2 August. And I want to maintain that until we are able to sort out the differentials on the workers in Nigeria and in West Africa – their salaries, because buying fuel and the rest of them. I don’t need to explain to you,” he said.
