Nigerian musician, Seun Kuti, voices his support for Saida Boj amidst the controversy surrounding her recent statement about only engaging romantically with a man who can provide her with a substantial sum of money.
Following Saida Boj's viral comments, which led to her social media accounts being banned due to backlash, Seun Kuti condemns the excessive criticism directed at her. He argues that it's hypocritical for people to vilify her for expressing her preferences while simultaneously endorsing similar sentiments in the lyrics of male artists' songs.
He claims that it is hypocritical to be calling her out for her choice but still sing the lyrics of songs that men state the same thing.
According to him, most men are capitalist and as they believe that women are gotten with money.
However, since they have not been able to make such money like they desire, they are jealous of a woman who explains her desires very clearly.
