Emerging Nigerian artist, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has expressed that Afrobeats icon Wizkid serves as his primary source of inspiration in the music industry.
During a recent conversation with renowned British podcaster Madame Joyce in the UK, the "Elon Musk" hitmaker disclosed that while he gathers insights from various musicians, it is Wizkid who inspires him the most.
Shallipopi also shared his excitement about an upcoming song he collaborated on with Wizkid, promising its release in the near future.
In the exchange with Madame Joyce, she inquired, “Is Wizkid an inspiration to you?” to which Shallipopi responded, “Yes now, all the artists are, anywhere I am I pick something from them but Wizkid is like my biggest inspiration.”
Madame Joyce further probed, asking about the vibe of the new song, and Shallipopi explained, “The song has all kinds of vibe, the lover boy side, the f*K boy side, and the good boy side. The song will be released when Wizkid is ready.”
