This incident unfolded after Skales disclosed on social media, specifically on X (formerly Twitter), that officials from the EFCC had arrived at his home late at night for what they termed a "routine check."

In his account of the encounter, Skales claimed that he and his family, including his daughter, wife, and staff, were subjected to an intimidating presence of armed officers, despite the fact that he has no criminal record and has never been involved in fraud.

Furthermore, the musician alleged that his property suffered damage during this visit.

"God go punish una @officialEFCC. I am not a criminal, I have never done fraud in my life. You came with guns to oppress me in front of my daughter and her mother & my staff. You will never prosper in anything you do as long as you're an EFCC staff! You will always be a failure," Skales vented.

"So, you guys now carry out routine checks @officialEFCC ON FOLKS? Na una staff talk am. For all you made my family go through this night—my newborn & her mom. I hate you @officialEFCC. You will fail in whatever the works of your hands do. Success will never be yours. I'll always speak against you."
