Veteran Nollywood actor Yusuf Olorungbebe has sadly passed away after a long and difficult battle with a severe illness. His health struggles had been ongoing, and despite the best efforts to save him, the actor reportedly spent his final days on life support before ultimately succumbing to his condition.
The heartbreaking news of his passing was shared by actress Foluke Daramola on August 28, 2024, through her official Instagram page. In her emotional announcement, Daramola conveyed the sorrowful update to her followers, expressing the deep sense of loss felt by all who knew and loved the late actor.
She wrote:
“We lost Yusuf Olorungbebe… We submit to God’s Will. Thank You Everyone!”
Earlier in the week, Daramola had made a public appeal for financial support to help cover Olorungbebe’s mounting medical expenses. She had posted a heartfelt video on Instagram, showing the ailing actor in the hospital, and urged her followers and the public to contribute whatever they could to aid in his treatment.
“Please, no amount is too small for him to live; your support will go a very long way,” she wrote, hoping for a positive outcome.
Unfortunately, despite the widespread support and prayers from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers, Olorungbebe’s health continued to deteriorate, leading to his untimely death. His passing marks a significant loss to the Nollywood community and all who admired his work.
