Grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid, has shared that he created all his chart-topping songs while seated comfortably, without putting in excessive effort.
In a widely-shared video, Wizkid mentioned that he does not believe in overworking to produce hit records. Instead, he prefers to work in a relaxed state, emphasizing that stress is not necessary for creativity.
The talented Afrobeats singer, known for his hit song ‘Essence’, also expressed his disinterest in actively promoting his music or participating in media interviews. He prefers to let his music speak for itself and avoid the traditional promotional efforts that often accompany album releases.
Wizkid said …
“All my biggest songs from ‘Holla At Your Boy’ to ‘Soco’, ‘Joro’, ‘Ojuelegba’, I recorded them sitting down,” he revealed. “You [P2J] know how my things be for Lagos. You’ve been in my house. You know what I do. I’m chilling. You get me, no stress.”
“You see promo, I hate doing that sh*t. You know press, I hate doing all that sh*t, bro. I know exactly what the people want. [Producer] P2J is the only n*gga that understands me,” he continued. “All we have to do is turn on the mic. The amazing thing is that the world is now globalised, you don’t need anyone to lie to you.”
