Popular actor Yul Edochie has weighed in on the ongoing feud between the musical duo, Peter and Paul Okoye, known collectively as PSquare, and has expressed his support for their separation. The conflict between the brothers has resurfaced for the second time, driven by a series of issues, including allegations of betrayal. Paul Okoye has accused Peter Okoye of betrayal, while Peter has countered with accusations of dishonesty and other grievances.
In response to the situation, Yul Edochie took to his Instagram page to share his thoughts. He remarked on the frequent suggestions that the brothers should reconcile and make peace, finding the advice somewhat humorous. Edochie suggested that true peace might actually come from the brothers staying apart rather than reconciling.
Edochie elaborated that in life, real peace sometimes emerges when individuals maintain a certain distance from each other. He indicated that for some people, being close can lead to conflict or dissatisfaction, and that maintaining a respectful distance may be more beneficial. According to him, trying to stay close to certain individuals might have negative consequences, and sometimes, even family members need to be distanced to achieve personal peace.
He further emphasized that life is short and filled with stress, particularly for men, which contributes to various issues, including high rates of widowhood. Therefore, he believes it is crucial for individuals to be intentional about their lives and relationships. Edochie advised blocking individuals who are detrimental to one's peace and not to look back. He concluded by expressing that while it's great to see PSquare together, their happiness and well-being are more important. If separation is what brings them peace and allows them to be happy and alive, then he supports their decision to stay apart.
His words were: “I see people say Rudeboy go & make peace with your brother, Mr P go & make peace with your brother, I just laugh. Many people still don’t understand what life is about. Sometimes real peace comes from staying apart. Sometimes even some family members have to be blocked to achieve peace. Sometimes you just have to relate with people from a distance to have peace. Trying to be close will kill you. Life is short, especially for men. Small thing man don fall. Too much stress. That’s why we have many widows everywhere. So you have to be intentional about your life. And life na per head. Block anybody that needs to be blocked so you can have peace. Don’t look back. Fight for your yourself. Stay alive. it’s good to see Psquare together. But if they have to stay apart to be happy and alive for us, let them stay apart. We love them regardless.”
