This denial comes in response to a viral social media post accusing Ganduje of masterminding a fresh plot against the former emir, an accusation he has dismissed as baseless and without merit.

The accusations are rooted in a prior controversy during Ganduje’s tenure as governor, during which Emir Sanusi was removed from his position.

Although the court later upheld the decision, there was widespread speculation at the time that government influence played a role in the ruling.

In a statement released in Abuja, Ganduje, through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Enlightenment, firmly distanced himself from any involvement in the current matters concerning the Kano emirate.

He emphasized that, since he is no longer serving as the governor or the speaker of the state’s House of Assembly, he does not have any authority or influence over such decisions.

The statement read, “Ganduje has nothing to do with the present enthronement or dethronement of Emir Mohammad Sanusi in Kano. It should be noted that he is no longer the executive governor or the speaker of the House of Assembly, and therefore, cannot have anything further to do with the Emirship of Kano.”

“It is laughable that Ganduje, who has been out of office as governor for some years now, would be accused of masterminding a fresh plot to remove or enthrone an Emir. He is now very busy leading the APC. He is satisfied with the enormous contributions he made in terms of massive dividends of democracy, infrastructural developments, and the good governance he provided while he held sway as governor.”

“Those who are behind this sinister move to malign the APC national chairman have revealed the clandestine and dangerous motives of the sponsors to create bad blood between Ganduje and the presidency.”

“Let me reiterate here that he has great respect for the national leader of the party, President Bola Tinubu. The relationship has been very cordial, and no amount of blackmail can destroy the solidity of the partnership.”
