The Nigerian Army has handed over a murder suspect, Ayomide Adeleye, to the Lagos State Police following the tragic death of Idowu Christianah. Ayomide Adeleye, a 23-year-old undergraduate, was previously arrested for abducting and killing a FUNAAB student after demanding a ransom of N3M from the victim’s family.
According to a report on the X platform, Supretendant of Police, Ben Hundeyin, confirmed that the suspect is now in their custody. He also stated that an investigation into the case has begun immediately.
“23-year-old Ayomide Adeleye has been handed over to @LagosPoliceNG by 9 Brigade @HQNigerianArmy. The handover took place today, September 5, 2024, at about 1400hrs. Investigation is ongoing,” he wrote.
