In the leaked audio, Obasanjo reportedly called on the youth to reject the election results and occupy Nigeria until a solution is found. He also allegedly requested actor Charly Boy and Donald Duke to rally Nigerians, particularly the youth, to protest against the presidential election, which he deemed stolen. According to the People's Gazette, these calls came as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ignored demands to suspend the collation of election results over widespread violations. Obasanjo's alleged call to action is likely to escalate the already tense political climate in the country.
