He emphasized the need for changes to be made to the calendar and for a more rational approach to be adopted, given the importance of players to the sport. Speaking at a press conference, Ancelotti stated that the current calendar is too tight and not beneficial to the health of the players. He also highlighted the various governing bodies' self-centered approach, stating that the league, federation, FIFA, and UEFA all think about themselves and not the players. Ancelotti stressed that such an approach is not right and called for a more player-focused and sustainable football calendar.
