Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his determination to excel at the club after clinching the 'Best Premier League Coach' title at the Globe Soccer Awards, triumphing over Manchester City’s boss Pep Guardiola.
Despite Arsenal finishing second to City in the Premier League for the past two seasons, Arteta’s accomplishments were acknowledged at the ceremony held in Sardinia, Italy.
Under his stewardship, the Gunners amassed 89 points in the 2023/24 season, marking their highest tally since the Invincibles’ 90-point achievement in 2003/04.
Arteta’s squad also established a club record by securing victory in 28 out of 38 matches and tallying a record high of 91 goals.
Moreover, they remained undefeated against any of the 'Big Six' teams, adding further to their accomplishments.
In his acceptance speech, Arteta rallied Arsenal supporters, declaring, “Win, win, win, and win. That’s what we want.
“We have a team full of enthusiasm and hunger for trophies. We acknowledge the competition, but we firmly believe we can emerge victorious. Therefore, we are committed to giving it our all,” he vowed.
