With one year left on his contract, Kane's potential departure could result in Tottenham losing him for free next summer if they don't sell him now. Chairman Daniel Levy remains hopeful that the striker can be convinced to sign a new contract.

Kane is expected to return for pre-season training this week and will have discussions with new Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou. The team will be heading to Australia for the start of their pre-season tour on Friday, July 14.

Bayern Munich is actively seeking a new center-forward, with manager Thomas Tuchel making Kane their primary target.

Previous reports suggested that the Bundesliga giants had a bid of around £60 million rejected last month for the Tottenham star. Tottenham is reportedly holding out for a fee of around £100 million to sell Kane this summer, but the player's desire for a move to the Allianz Arena may play a role. Sky Sports reports that Kane is keen on securing a transfer to Bayern Munich.

The Guardian has reported positive talks between Harry Kane and Bayern Munich regarding a potential move to the club. Bayern Munich remains interested in signing the 29-year-old England captain, who was previously linked with a move to Manchester United this summer before the club abandoned their pursuit, deeming the financial requirements to acquire him from Tottenham unrealistic.

It has been revealed that Bayern Munich is now willing to offer €80 million (£68.4 million) plus add-ons for the 29-year-old forward, who is determined to secure a transfer to the Allianz Arena this summer. Tottenham is expected to reject Bayern's second offer as well.

Despite numerous individual accolades, Kane, who will turn 30 later this month, has yet to win a major trophy with Tottenham. The club has endured a 15-year trophy drought since their victory in the 2007-08 EFL Cup.
