Negotiations between Forest and Arsenal have progressed rapidly in recent days, with both clubs optimistic that the transfer will be finalized soon. Forest’s determination to sign the 25-year-old striker has been evident, especially after their initial offer of £25 million, including add-ons, was turned down by Arsenal earlier this week.

However, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the situation, revealing on X that Nketiah has now reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest regarding personal terms.

Romano wrote, “Eddie Nketiah has just agreed on personal terms with Nottingham Forest as talks are advancing to final stages with Arsenal.”

He continued, “NFFC is confident to get it done soon. Feyenoord rejected €26m plus add-ons for Santiago Giménez, also offered today.”

According to The Athletic, Arsenal is holding out for a transfer fee in the range of £30-35 million, which is slightly higher than Forest’s initial offer.

Despite the rejection of their first bid, Nottingham Forest remains determined to secure Nketiah’s signature and bring him to the City Ground. Discussions between the two clubs are ongoing, and both parties are hopeful of reaching a mutually beneficial agreement.

Earlier this summer, Nketiah was linked with a move to Marseille, but the deal ultimately collapsed due to disagreements over the transfer fee. Now, with Nottingham Forest closing in on his signature, the forward’s future appears to be taking shape as he looks to make a fresh start at a new club.
