Real Madrid secured their first victory of the 2024/25 La Liga campaign with a commanding 3-0 triumph over Real Valladolid at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Despite being less convincing in their overall performance, Carlo Ancelotti’s [/b]squad managed to gather all three points, showing glimpses of their potential as the season progresses.

The match began with frustration for the home side as they encountered a resolute defensive setup from Valladolid. Although Real Madrid dominated possession throughout the first half, they struggled to convert their control into clear scoring opportunities. Notably, Kylian Mbappe came closest to breaking the deadlock, but his efforts were thwarted by Valladolid's vigilant goalkeeper, Karl Hein.

The much-needed breakthrough for Madrid arrived early in the second half. Federico Valverde, renowned for his powerful long-range strikes, delivered a crucial moment of brilliance. He unleashed a free-kick from 25 yards out, and a fortunate deflection helped the ball find the back of the net, leaving Hein with no chance.

This goal eased the tension for the home team, enabling them to play with greater freedom and creativity. Despite numerous opportunities to extend their lead, including missed chances from Arda Guler and Rodrygo, Real Madrid remained in control but couldn't find a second goal until the closing stages of the match.

In the 88th minute, substitute Brahim Diaz added a second goal, further solidifying Madrid's position. The match was capped off in style when Endrick Felipe scored his first-ever goal for Real Madrid, sealing the victory with a well-placed finish.

This crucial win marks Real Madrid's first three points of the season, although they still trail early leaders Celta Vigo and Barcelona by two points in the standings.
