The German forward, who returned to England on a season-long loan deal, is hopeful that the buy option clause in his contract will be activated by Spurs at the end of the season.

Since joining Tottenham, Werner has showcased impressive form, contributing to five goals during his time with the club.

With 11 appearances under his belt, the 28-year-old has scored twice and provided three assists, demonstrating his value to manager Ange Postecoglou's side.
