The 37-year-old is set to reunite with his former France teammate and close friend Hugo Lloris in California, with Lloris having joined LAFC earlier this year.

While paper works are yet to be finalized, reports suggest LAFC has been diligently working to secure Giroud’s signature, as his contract with Milan expires next June.

If the move becomes successful, it will mark the end of Giroud’s storied career in Europe.

The veteran forward boasts an impressive trophy cabinet, including the 2018 World Cup and the 2021 Nations League with France.

At club side, Giroud boasts domestic titles with Montpellier in Ligue 1 and multiple FA Cups with Arsenal and Chelsea.

He also contributed to AC Milan’s 2022 Serie A title in his debut season in Italy, after winning the 2019 Europa League and 2021 Champions League titles with Chelsea.

Despite being in the twilight of his career, Giroud has remained a prolific scorer, netting 14 goals for Stefano Pioli’s side this season.

Currently on international duty with the French national team, Giroud is expected to make his final appearance for his country in the upcoming Euro 2024 tournament under Didier Deschamps.
