The Athletic reports that the arrangement, approved by Harry Kane, involves an upfront payment of £86m from Bayern Munich, supplemented by add-ons to approach the £100m mark - setting a record for the club. Speculation suggests Kane is set to ink a four-year contract with the German team.

German newspaper Bild reveals that both clubs aspire to finalize the deal by the weekend's end, with Bayern securing permission for Kane to undergo a medical examination.

Kane, who has one year left on his current contract with Spurs, has expressed eagerness to settle his future before Tottenham's Premier League season opener against Brentford on Sunday, August 13.

The 30-year-old England Captain stands as Spurs' all-time top scorer with an impressive 280 goals across various competitions. Despite scoring 30 Premier League goals in the last season, Kane's efforts were in vain as Spurs finished eighth and missed out on European football. The club remains trophy-less since 2008.

Kane, a three-time Premier League Golden Boot awardee, boasts 213 league goals and trails just 48 goals behind Alan Shearer's record tally. He also holds the distinction of being England’s leading scorer with 58 goals, and he's determined to secure major silverware with both club and country - a tradition Bayern is renowned for in Germany and Europe.

Before agreeing to the Bayern deal, Kane was presented with a new contract worth £400,000 per week to extend his stay at Tottenham. However, he chose not to prolong his contract, which is set to expire next summer.

Manchester United initially expressed interest in signing Kane earlier in the transfer window but withdrew due to the associated costs. Paris Saint-Germain also made an approach, but Kane signaled his reluctance to move to the French capital.
