This follows recent remarks by Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, who stated unequivocally that the club would not participate in the tournament, declaring, “FIFA can forget about it.”

Scheduled for June and July next year, the upcoming Club World Cup will feature 32 teams, including 12 from Europe.

According to multiple reports, should Real Madrid withdraw, Barcelona, as the next highest-ranked Spanish side, would fill their spot in the competition.

Ancelotti criticized the financial incentives of the tournament, suggesting that the entire event's value to Real Madrid equated to the revenue from a single match for the club.

Despite these reservations, the financial windfall for Barcelona is considerable, and given the club's current financial challenges, it's improbable they would pass up such an opportunity, as reported by Football Espana.

FIFPro has already expressed concerns about the tournament, and a widespread withdrawal by clubs like Real Madrid could potentially undermine its success.

Furthermore, Real Madrid's vested interest in the potential launch of the Superleague in 2025 further solidifies their opposition to the Club World Cup.
