Meanwhile, Arsenal winger and Brazil teammate Gabriel Martinelli has fervently backed Vinicius.
"In my opinion, he deserves to win the Ballon d'Or," Martinelli told Marca. "It's a great pride to play with Vini. I see a special boy who deserves it.
"I feel very happy as a Brazilian to witness his 'I came to shine' moment," Martinelli added.
Brazil will square off against Costa Rica, Paraguay, and Colombia in Group D of the Copa America.
