Interestingly, Mbappe nearly joined Caen as a teenager before he ultimately signed with Monaco. His new role at Caen brings him full circle in his career journey.

Caen finished sixth in Ligue 2 last season, showcasing their competitive edge in French football. The club’s notable former players include Mbappe’s France teammate N’Golo Kante and former French defender William Gallas.

Established in 1913, Caen are two-time Ligue 2 champions. The team is set to start the new season by hosting Paris FC on August 17, marking the beginning of an exciting chapter under Mbappe's ownership.
