John Mikel Obi has hinted that Chelsea could still pursue Victor Osimhen in the near future.
Speaking on his podcast, Mikel Obi recounted how a move for Osimhen was very close to happening this summer, but the player ultimately joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan.

Despite the deal with Chelsea not materializing, Mikel Obi remains optimistic about a potential future transfer. He compared Osimhen’s playing style to that of former Chelsea strikers Didier Drogba and Diego Costa, noting the Nigerian’s impressive strength and ability to challenge defenders.
Mikel stated, “There are no issues. If we pick this back up in January or next summer, it’s just a matter of finalizing some details to complete the deal.”
