Victor Osimhen has opened up about his decision to move to Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli. This move came after he struggled to secure a permanent transfer during the summer transfer window.
It was noted that the Nigerian striker was excluded from Antonio Conte’s squad during the summer, and there was speculation linking him to Chelsea and Al-Ahli.
Despite the speculation, a transfer did not materialize before the window closed, leading Osimhen to join the Turkish club on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Osimhen revealed that joining Galatasaray was an easy decision for him. He expressed his enthusiasm about the club, saying, “When I heard about Galatasaray’s interest, it was an easy decision for me. I knew how big Galatasaray was, how much of a family it felt like. It has incredible fans,” as stated on the club’s official website.
Additionally, the 25-year-old disclosed that his compatriot, Henry Onyekuru, played a significant role in facilitating the transfer.
