Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian football sensation, has reportedly agreed to join the Turkish football powerhouse, Galatasaray, on a loan deal. However, the agreement comes with certain specific conditions that the player has laid out.
As reported by well-known transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, one of the primary conditions set by Osimhen is a significant reduction in his release clause at Napoli. The striker has requested that his release clause be lowered from the current €130 million to €75 million as a key part of the deal.
In addition to the reduction of his release clause, Osimhen has also stipulated the inclusion of a break clause in the loan agreement. This break clause would grant him the option to leave Galatasaray as early as January, should any top European clubs express interest in signing him during the winter transfer window.
This latest development follows a reported agreement between Napoli and Galatasaray, which has been reached regarding Osimhen’s move to the Turkish club.
As part of the deal, Galatasaray is expected to cover Osimhen’s full €11 million salary for the duration of the season. The move also comes on the heels of a breakdown in relations between Osimhen and Napoli, which has ultimately led to his exclusion from Napoli’s Serie A squad.
