Ruth Innocent, a National Youth Service Corps member, became famous on social media after sharing photos of herself and her tall partner. Recently, she expressed concern about not being accepted by his family. The graduate of the University of Calabar recounted how they met at the NYSC orientation center in Bayelsa State but she was later transferred to Delta State. Initially, they were not friends, but after he lifted her onto his shoulders so she could see better during an event at camp, they grew closer. People began to take notice and refer to them as a couple. They even received special treatment in markets and elsewhere. When they left camp, they kept in touch and decided to pursue a serious relationship despite the distance. Ruth admitted that her biggest fear is that his family may not accept her because of her height. However, she believes that love conquers all and hopes that his family will see past her height and appreciate her for who she is. She spoke with his sister and friends, but she still worries that they may not consider her because of her height. Ruth is not concerned about her partner's height, as she prefers a taller man so that their children will not be too short. She encourages people not to focus on height and instead look for other important qualities, such as humility and fear of God, which may be more important in a relationship. Ultimately, she hopes that his family will see that she complements him and shares a future with him.
