An intriguing scene unfolded as a bride declined to recite the wedding vows that involved obeying her husband.
During the wedding ceremony, the officiating minister recited the wedding vows line by line for the bride to repeat.
The bride agreed to stand by her husband during sickness and health, in poverty and riches; however, she chose not to respond when it came to the part about obeying her husband.
When the priest inquired about the matter, she revealed that they had never discussed that aspect during their couple's counseling, but her husband insisted that they had.
The priest then asked if he should reiterate the obedience part or proceed without it, to which she requested to omit it from the vows.
