A final-year student at Ebonyi State University, Favour Ugwuka, has reportedly committed suicide [/b]after a lecturer repeatedly failed her.
According to the report, Favour was discovered dead on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, behind her hostel at the university’s Ishieke Campus in Abakaliki. She had reportedly consumed a toxic substance thought to be a sniper.
According to a leaked voice note, the English Department student claims that although she completed all of her classes with distinction, she kept failing a certain course in which the lecturer had made a vow she would never pass.
The deceased mother is seen bemoaning and accusing a lecturer of forcing her daughter to commit suicide in a video made available online.
“Dr Enyi said he is the best, that nobody can teach like him. He should come and carry my daughter who has committed suicide,” she said.
